Another Game Studio Is Closing: The End of Galvanic Games
Galvanic Games, the developer that made a name for itself with the game Wizard With a Gun, will be closed.
Galvanic Games was the last victim of 2024, which was filled with layoffs and closure of game studios. Wizard With a Gun developer Galvanic Games announced that the studio will be closed in a statement on its social media accounts.
President and Founder of Galvanic Games, Patrick Morgan, stated in his statement that he was heartbroken. Morgan also noted “the irony of closing the studio during its most productive years after working for a decade to build the ideal team.” Morgan stated that the reason for the decision was that despite the promising start they had with Wizard With a Gun, sales could not keep the studio afloat.

“Working with Devolver Digital has been a dream come true for us,” said Morgan. “Together, we have created a game that I am proud of. There is a sweet sadness that we have achieved everything we set out to do when we founded Galvanic in 2015. From releasing unique, strange and interesting games to my favorite game in the industry.” “From collaborating with some of the people to building a close-knit, productive team focused on a healthy and creative culture, we’ve done it all.” he said.
While Morgan also thanked his employees, he also took a step to find jobs for his former employees by sharing their LinkedIn pages and portfolio information. Developer Digital commented on Galvanic Games’ post: “We love you all.” He replied: It is not yet known exactly how many people will be unemployed after this closure.
